Concert in aid of the Musicians Benevolent Fund

Cathy Pope and other beautiful professional operatic voices will perform gorgeous repertoire, moving you and occasionally amusing you, to raise money for the Musicians Benevolent Fund (MBF) celebrating its 90th year.
The Picture shows John Connell and Cathryn Pope in Péllèas and Mélisande at English National Opera in 1990. The charity supported John till he died in 2007 aged 50. At 43 a severe stroke ended his career. His wonderful bass voice had given so many great performances for very little financial reward, as do the vast majority of musicians.
